Forsyth’s window displays

My relationship with Forsyth’s, the oldest shop in Manchester goes back to 2007 when a curiosity about prepared pianos lead me to build a water powered autonomous piano that would play generative music.

In the intervening years many more projects have brought us together and The Puzzle Factory has become piano powered. I have been collaborating with numerous different artists at the studio and we have been celebrating music and the changing seasons with recycled materials and environmentally friendly paints. Our easter eggs are painted with a paint made from starch, we have horses, dragons, snakes and rabbits from recycled sheet music and all kinds of things from old pianos.
